Terry Ray Paige

Terry Ray Paige, age 71, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at UK St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. He was born January 12, 1954, in McDowell, Kentucky, the son of the late Thurman Paige of McDowell and Bessie Newsome of Ashtabula, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Benika Paige on June 18, 2019; and three sisters, Sandy Paige of Erie, Pennsylvania, Donna Pomales of Akron, Ohio, and Debra Reed of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

He is survived by his six children: Thurman (Ashley) Paige of Flemingsburg, Terry (Jennifer) Paige of Stanton, Adam (Sandy) Paige of Mt. Sterling, Anna Paige of Floyd County, Samantha Paige of Carlisle, and Coty Paige of Flemingsburg; one sister, Diane Evans of Jacksonville, North Carolina; 12 beloved grandchildren; and two nieces.

Throughout his life, Terry lived and worked in many different states. His journey took him from the orange groves of Florida, to the coal mines of Eastern Kentucky, to building sailboats in Ashtabula, Ohio, before later working on various farms across Kentucky. No matter where life led him, he always held a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he had the opportunity.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Hutton Funeral Home with Thurman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
